Muhurat means 'an auspicious hour'. According to the Hindu calendar, “Muhurat’ is considered as an auspicious time.  Muhurat gives certainty for the successful completion of the work without facing any hurdles. Muhurat is a tool to harmonize your forces with nature and improve your chances of success. It is believed that at the time of Muhurat, planets align themselves in such a way that the work done during this time becomes fruitful and without the influences of evil forces.

A “Shubh muhurat” helps in concentrating the energy of the planets and other astrological factors in an auspicious way so as to nullify the evil influences and make the result of the work performed most fruitful. Time has the potential to make an individual strong and weak at the same time. The time of birth of a person cannot be controlled by anyone. But the time of event can be controlled.

Panchang provides you with different categories of shubh muhurat such as Choghadiya, Gowri Panchang and Shubha Hora. Astrology says while judging a muhurat it is important to consider the combinations of a weekday with Ascendant and nakshatra. It is said that chances for the success of a task is maximized if it is done in an auspicious muhurat.

That is why it is important to consider muhurat before initiating an activity.
